Easter Day 2018

Easter 2018 happened to land on April’s Fool’s Day. [Insert inappropriate joke here]. It was an Easter Day “by the book”, as I discovered last year, see HERE, when I cataloged the last 15 years of Easter Day! (61 images total!)

The annual attempt at a sibling photo with chocolate eggs. The younger ones did NOT feel like cooperating!
Going back to the start of the day, here is an Easter decoration courtesy of Emma (and her daycare teachers).
It is now customary to hide the eggs. Can you spot an egg?
The egg hunt about to begin. The eggs are labeled since some are easier to find than others.

Finnur is eeeevil! Bjarki finally found his egg on the top of the cupboards, inside a large jug!
Next up, the sayings! Emma got: What doesn’t enter an eye doesn’t hurt it.
Finnur got: Each thinks their bird is beautiful.
Anna got: No chain is stronger than its weakest link.
Bjarki got: Go dance, but watch where you put your foot down.
I got: First makings last long.
After stuffing our faces with chocolate, we made our way to Finnur’s parents’ place, where we ate festive food with the rest of his family.

After 12 rounds of whist, it was time for dessert.
