In-between Yule & New-Year’s

The whole family was on holiday between Yule and New Year’s Eve. We hung out with family and friends, went to the movies, to a show, and tried to generally relax a bit. (12 images total)

Among relaxing activities (for me) was hanging out at the Norðurbakkinn cafe. It’s weirdly difficult to get a symmetric photo of those buildings!

Earlier that day Bjarki somehow agreed to go to gymnastics practice.
We also took the big kids to see the Star Wars movie that had just come out, and sat through the credits to find Signý’s name! Pétur also worked on that movie, but at a contracting company so he didn’t get direct credit.
Finnur and I ended the day by going to Ari Eldjárn‘s comedy stand-up show, and he did a very good job, as is his habit.

Our ex-Californinan, currently Toronto-dwelling, friends stopped by for dinner, which was a lot of fun!

We finally made it to visit grandma Hrefna!

On the way back home we made a quick pit stop at a shop where I tried on a winter coat. This one had a lot going for it, but also a few things that bugged me so… no.

Halli and I got started on playing Pandemic Legacy Season 2. We’ve managed about one session a month since then!
