Me in downtown Reykjavik, at 18:51. The days had started to get shorter.  I vaguely remember being downtown to eat dinner with some work-related visitors from abroad.

I apparently went out for dinner, the second evening in a row, and was impressed by the great selection of items in the restroom for people in need.

At work, decorators showed up to decorate the place for a fancy party being held that evening in conjunction with a big seafood exhibition. It’s not usually quite so festive there.

From my morning read.

Bjarki rejoined gymnastics, choosing the “group” side, which is all about trampolines!

That day, Finnur traveled to Japan via Helsinki for a work meet-up. He stayed in Japan for a week, and then flew to California where he also spent a week.

I took the kids swimming at our really great local swimming pool.

Next stop: The local ice cream store.

Meanwhile, in Japan… A nice garden.

Meanwhile, in Japan, Finnur boarded a plane for the USA.

I attended a party near our house on Saturday night, and left the car there. Thus I hiked on over the morning after to fetch the car.

The new path links up to this “v” up front.   The ground used to be a lot higher there.  The old “path” was much further to the right, so one had to walk down a very narrow steep path to join the right side of the “v”.

I then drove on down to Hafnarfjörður for a bit of me-time.

I often go to the Norðurbakki cafe these days.

Emma returned from her grandparents’ summer house, and thus Sunday ended.

I attended a lecture on iPad issues, as the town we live in issues iPad to all kids in 5th grade and up (!!!)

We managed to chat to Finnur , who was in California, a bit post-dinner.

Emma was not ready to hurry to daycare. She insisted on folding all her tops first.

The weather was nice enough keep playing at daycare at the end of the day.

We went to Harpa for an Astrid Lindgren concert. We invited Ylfa along as Finnur missed his flight from the USA, and she brought Emma this amazing picture!
