Day #6 in St. Brieuc – Tree Climbing Adventure Park
[Photos taken on Friday 14 July 2017, posted online on 18 November 2017. We’ve had snow on the ground for a week now.]
As is by now a custom, we located a tree-climbing adventure park near our house.
Even though 14 July is Bastille Day, we were happy to find out the park was open. This one even had activities for small children but only with supervision, which suited us very well, since Finnur was unable to climb due to his recently broken collar bone. (31 images, 2 gifs, 1 video).

At the parking lot of the climbing park. We had to walk a little ways to get to the gear-station/starting point.

The park is divided into courses, the more difficult ones being located higher up in the trees. All the courses have some sort of “bridge” to get you from one tree to the next, and they’re all different.

The rule is that only one person can be on a “bridge” at a time. Here Bjarki’s clipped his safety harness to the wire, and is waiting for Anna to finish climbing up. Once you’re clipped in, you can’t be unclipped except at the end of the course.

Wihle I took a short break, Anna and Bjarki went on the most difficult course, and ended very high up!

What’s even crazier, is that they crossed that stub-bridge above them, which required a lot of stability on their part! The ended up leaving the course at its mid-point as it was a tad too nerve wracking.
