Gingerbread for the Yule of 2016

Anna has learnt to be very persistent in reminding us to schedule ginger-bread-house-making before Christmas. This year, we managed to squeeze it in on 23 December, and to make sure we carried through with the plan, we invited Holla and Óli to join us. (13 images total)

There were some baking-fails.
Holla and Óli brought a pre-baked house, but it got damaged in transport, and it took a while to mend it.

The house of 2016!
Earlier that day I had found myself wandering about downtown, hunting for presents. There were a lot of people there!
I also made a quick pit stop in our local mall, thankfully it was mostly an in-and-out job! And with that, I was mostly done with the Yule-prep!
