Emma’s 3rd Birthday Party

We celebrated Emma’s third birthday with a family party. It was pretty interesting trying to get everything done with one adult hopping about on one foot, but we managed.

This is how I managed to work in the kitchen, by standing on one leg, and hooking the injured one on top of a cabinet door. Then I would lean forward to bring my body lower, so that the blood would have an easier time circulating. You can see the carrot cake pieces.

We made a carrot cake, and an apple cake, and then bought a few breads.
The icing was a bit of a disaster, but now I’ve read up on why it happened, so hopefully it’ll go better next time. Anna did a good job disguising my sub-standard job though.
