The End of January … From the Couch
[Photos from 28-31 January 2016, posted online 4 February. Lots of snow coming down, with wind. Oh fun!]
Since I’m stuck on the couch, this blog is stuck on the couch. Deal with it.
Yes, here follow more photos taken from my corner on the couch. It mostly just the kids, but we did entertain Saturday dinner guests, which was nice. The biggest news was probably Anna winning a bronze medal in Shot Put (kúluvarp) in her age group, during her first track and field meet ever. (15 images total)

Bjarki, hunched over a screen of some kind.

Macro lenses are fun.

Twirly dresses are the best!

Playing. She’s starting to become very engaged in pretend playing.

Meanwhile, the parents seek refuge in playing computer games after the kids have gone to bed. This is The Witness, which reminds us of Myst, just brighter. Previously we played through Child of Light, which was very entertaining.

Anna with her bronze medal, after throwing a 2 kg shot put ball 9.36 m (30.7 feet), which was a personal best.

I’m hoping this will encourage her to keep working, but then again, she might just decide to quit while she’s ahead!

Sigga, who we met in California. She works for the University of Iceland now, and seems to be doing well there.

All I’m good for these days is reading for the kids, and getting Bjarki through his homework. This means reading out-loud and practicing guitar more often than not. Surprisingly, when I started helping him with guitar after my accident, I found that I’d forgotten where all the notes were! They’ve come back though.
