An Autumn Day at Home

I realized with some surprise that I’d yet to take a single photo of the autumn colors. So right before heading off to Canada for a week, I got two of the kids to go outside and pose for photos.
Earlier in the morning I also took some photos during ‘computer time’, except the tablet Emma was going to watch was out of batteries, so she ended up painting, the poor thing. Yes, this post only has photos of the kids. My privilege. (24 images total)
Kids being unusually cooperative for two seconds. And yes, Emma’s begun to figure out how biking works, but she’s very slow still.
Earlier in the morning… Here’s Bjarki in his usual spot.
Anna multitasking by both watching the tv and playing on her phone. Busy! (And, yes, we finally gave her one of our old phones this fall.)

Emma ended up painting her hand up to her t-shirt, but thankfully it all came off with some soap and water.
I finished packing, and we ate lunch. Then I corralled the younger two outside for a bit.

Bjarki tried the small bike out for a few seconds before an irate Emma chased him off of it.

Bjarki then zoomed up the hill on the other side, while Emma valiantly tried to keep up and failed miserably.
And that was it! Shortly thereafter a taxi arrived to take me to the airport, and now I’m in Canada for a week!
