I went for a little trip by myself downtown. The aim was a little coffeehouse/exhibition house I’d been meaning to visit for a while.

It’s called Hannesarholt.

I was there mostly to check out an exhibition by a friend of my aunt’s, Ólöf.

16 works on display, and most of them sold already. Well done, Ólöf!

The cafe rooms are lovely. There were enough people there that I felt bad photographing them, so I mostly didn’t.

There is a small coffee shop there, but I decided not to buy anything when I discovered an event was about to take place. It involved this older lady, who is a famous Icelandic actress.

The small coffee shop is located in one of the rooms, and I recall it weirdly not having a fancy coffee maker, just an all-in-one machine. I even managed to work on my photos a bit. Charged up the introvert batteries a bit.

Back home, it was selfie-time for Bjarki.

The day ended with me making labels and sewing them on three pairs of woolen mittens grandama Anna had graciously and speedily made for Emma on request.

Emma playing with a Duplo train-set my brother Anthony owned, and grandpa Gunnar brought all the way to the US a long time ago. The train engine actually still works!
