New Year’s Eve Family Photo

This is shaping up to be an unusual New Year’s Eve, particularly for me (Hrefna) and Emma. Emma has been unwell all day, with a temperature of 39.0°C/102.2°F, and unhappily teething. Therefore, she’s not fit for a party.
Since the other two kiddos are fighting fit, Finnur took them to the annual new year’s party in his family around 6pm, but before they left, we dug out the tripod and took a family photo, since we failed to do so at Christmas. Voila!

So far Emma and I have hung out for a bit, around dinner she spilled almost a whole pot of milk all over the table, herself, and the floor, and then I ate leftovers for dinner (she ate a ginger snap). She went to bed without a fuss, and I’m knocking on wood that she’ll keep sleeping even though there are fireworks going on all around us.
