Anna Turns 11 Years Old and The Christmas Day Party
[These events happened on 25 December, and are being blogged on 27 December 2014. Speedy!]
Christmas Day arose with copious amounts of pretty snow. The kids were up and at it early as usual, but we waited until we’d all had breakfast to open Anna’s presents. (26 images total)

She also got a book of perilous math, and a digital recorder/radio so she can record her own favorite music and listen to it, kind of like we did with cassettes in the olden days.

Shortly afterwards, we went to Finnur’s parents’ place for the annual Christmas Day meal, social whist tournament, and Anna’s birthday celebration.

Whist tournament in full swing. We played on four tables this year, instead of the customary three. Anna is now a fully incorporated whist player.
These young men haven’t quite reached whist-age, so they got to gobble up tv things instead.

After the tournament it was time to light the candles on Anna’s cake.
