Gorgeous Day
[Written 15 June 2014]
The weather forecast for the weekend was amazingly fabulous (20C/68F and sun!!!).
Finnur’s parents had kindly invited all of us to join them in their summer house by Laugarvatn, so I spent pretty much the entire Friday morning packing things (so much Fun with a trailing toddler intent on touching everything), and quickly feeding the kids before locking up the heading out with the lot of them to run final departure errands around noon. (10 images total)

Second order of business involved visiting the small business section at Laugarlækur to buy bread, good sausages and bacon, some veggies, and, most important of all, ICE CREAM!! (Anna may have uttered something to the effect of me being a good mom. My heart melted.) Oh, and Emma looooves ice cream. Surprise! Not.

We didn’t arrive at the summer house until somewhere after 3 pm. I fed the kids, and then they were off trying out the various ‘summer play’ things I’d bought in the grocery store on our third stop.
