Changes is Status

While Finnur was in California, I operated mostly in ‘survival mode’ so few pictures were taken. “Luckily” for me, both weeks he was away only had three schooldays because of a religious holiday (ascension day, yippie!…) which was followed by a staff day the first week, and the second week saw the formal end of school.
I must have been unusually energetic this Wednesday, because a few pictures got taken, mostly of the changing status of things. (6 images total)
Emma discovered our Rummikub box, which was only missing one piece before her discovery. I believe the number of missing pieces has now increased substantially. (I put the pieces on the stand, she just tore them off. Like she does.)
Emma’s still using this lounger we have on loan from Holla and Óli, but she’s getting to be almost too heavy for it…
Sadly, one of our two small chairs had a small accident so I set out to fix it…
I probably spent an hour (or more?) stitching it together by hand… only to have Anna sit down in it and tear it all to pieces again. It’s now formally ruined. (It should be noted that Anna was not responsible for the first tear.)
Ever wondered what’s inside an Ikea LACK table? Well, wonder no more! It also got into a series of accidents which resulted in the side splitting off.
Finally, the last change in status: Bjarki’s self portraits from the spring (vor) and fall (haust) of 2013, as well as the spring of 2014 (oldes at the top, newest on bottom right). I loooove how colorful his clothes are!! And that bright red hair!! 🙂
