Emma Ósk is 1 Years Old!!
Well, whadda-you-know… Emma Ósk is 1 years old today!!
There was no actual celebrating today though, but she did get a present from us. Proper celebrating will happen next weekend with our respective near-families (we’re trying to keep the celebrations ‘small’, just like the person in question!).
The day pretty much went like any other Wednesday, but I did take a few pics (14 images total)

She miraculously managed to not bang her head!
She likes crawling too much, not to mention practicing climbing up on things, to bother with walking yet. She’s showed a few walking-prep signs, such as occasionally standing up away from any support, and letting go a tiny bit when standing next to something, but I think she still has a couple of weeks or a month to go.
Emma is, for the most part, a happy and content child. She will entertain herself for long periods of time in her travel cot of toys, but she also loves getting playful attention from her sibling. When she want attention from us old folks, she goes and fiddles with the sound system, which results in getting dumped into the travel cot again…
But yes, back to the gift giving…
I used the opportunity while the big kids were are their respective sports practices to visit an outlet shoe shop to get Emma some shoes, because she has none! Turns out she’s a size 22 (a kids US 6 apparently).

Fondling the new shoes. Now, both Anna and Bjarki HATED shoes when I first tried to have them wear them, but Emma seemed nonplussed.

Salmon cakes for dinner. Emma loves steamed broccoli, so everything else paled in comparison. Oh well!
