Studio Hrefna #1 – The Children and Grandchildren of Ásdís
On 1 December 2013, my Icelandic brothers (and spouses) visited us with all their kids in tow.
I proceeded to take about 500 photos of them (and us) in our living room, using my two flashes, and one photo umbrella. The purpose was to make a photobook of my mom’s kids and grandchildren to give her for Christmas.
(Sadly, Finnur was in the US, so we didn’t take photos of the spouses. Better timing next time?)
After the photo shoot, Pétur took the photos home with him on a memory stick (he prefers working with RAW images, #shudder#), and by the evening, he’d picked out a handful of photos and processed them.
By midnight I had finished assembling them into a book using the Blurb program, and after some finessing the next day, the book was sent to the printers.
And here is the book!
