Passport Time
We took Emma to the magistrate’s (sheriff’s?) office today to order a passport for her. Thankfully, they take their own photos at the office, and Emma cooperated nicely:
This has been a fairly uneventful week, except Emma’s slowly driving me insane with her night-time antics.
It got so bad that Finnur worked from home on Wednesday and Thursday so that I could catch a few extra zzzs, although I did use the baby-sitting opportunity to go to a guest lecture on nano-stuff at the University of Iceland on Thursday as well.
We’ve been meaning to do something about the rather terrible night time situation for about a month now, but there were summer house trips, there was teething, and then she got a really bad nose-clogging cold, and awww… my baaaaaaby!
But this weekend we’re giving it a try. Finnur’ll be responsible for her tonight, while I sleep downstairs, hopefully for a whole whopping five hours (at least) in one stretch. Which has happened about once in the past month. And the plan is to repeat the process tomorrow night, and the night after if needed.
Knowing irony, I’m guessing she’ll sleep right on through the night since I will be missing from the room. Here’s hoping at least!
