Spring Festival
Anna’s school formally ended instruction on June 5th, and will reconvene in late August sometime.
It’s hard to articulate just how ready I am for her to be on vacation! It’ll be great to have no more homework (we basically gave up on having her read out loud in April sometime) and there’ll be a lot less morning stress now that she doesn’t have to be dressed and fed and out the door before 7:50.
To celebrate, there was a Spring Festival at her school, and Bjarki’s adjacent daycare center. Thankfully the weather behaved nicely, because the two days prior were nothing but wind and rain. This has been a cold spring, and the summer is turning out to be a wet one so far.

Spring Festival, with a climbing wall, bouncy-castles, snacks for sale, and a band playing in the gymnasium.

The playgroup Lotta came and entertained the kids for a while. They were quite fun! 🙂
