Climbing
Bjarki missed out on trying to scale the climbing wall at the Spring Festival the other day so I promised him he’d get to climb later.
Today I fulfilled my promise and took the kids to the Climbing House (Klifurhúsið, family hours 16-18 on Tuesdays and Thursdays this summer) after picking Bjarki up from daycare. The kids ran around and did some climbing until fatigue set in and we headed back home.
Anna wasn’t too thrilled by the experience (sore hands are a bummer), but Bjarki thought it was a lot of fun (he’s nothing but lean muscle) and wants to go back next week!
This morning I took Anna to see her orthodontist, who decided to keep waiting-and-seeing to see what Anna’s teeth will do in the near future. I used the opportunity to have her height measured, and Anna’s now 155.3 cm tall, or 5 ft 1 inch, which is way tall for a nine and a half year old. My genes are so much fun! 🙂
