Raising a Shoe Monster?

I took Anna shoe shopping the other day because she’s outgrown all her summer shoes, and by golly, it’s looking like spring out there!
Her shoe size is now decidedly adult, as in 38-39 (and ahemm, 40 in one case! That’s US 8-9) so to the adult section we went. And while I was looking at sensible shoes, Anna was all for trying shoes like these:
No, Anna, these shoes are not for 9 year olds. At all. #Facepalm#
