The First Carriage Walk
It was really nice out today, so while Finnur was a hero and helped the big kids tidy up both of their bedrooms, which were nearing disaster-status yet again, I took Emma out for a walk in her ‘big carriage’ for the first time.

Out on a walk. This carriage entered the family structure via my brother Nökkvi when he and Jóhanna had their first child. Finnur’s sister, Steinunn, bought it from Nökkvi a couple of years ago, and now we’re borrowing it!

Emma was fast asleep when I put her in there, but promptly woke up when I left her outside a bakery for a little while (i.e. stopped moving). Thankfully she fell back asleep shortly thereafter, and slept for a little while on our patio after I returned home. Of course, she woke up just as I was sitting down after cleaning up a bit downstairs, and about to enjoy a tiny sliver of me-time. How do kids do this?!? What freaky sensors do they have?! Gaaah!
