Wrap-ified
Imported ‘specialty-stuff’ tends to be considerably more expensive in Iceland than in the UK and US, so I got my dad to bring over a few things from the UK to save us a little bit of money. One of them was a proper ‘Moby Wrap‘ (burðarsjal) which is basically just a really long piece of stretchy cottony fabric. So far the little miss seems to like it: she’s fallen asleep within minutes all three times that we’ve used it!

Finnur trying out the Moby Wrap. Ms. Bambino was asleep in seconds! We tucked her head in a little later.

Holla came by for a lunchtime visit with her two younger ones, and in a fit of productivity, I made American pancakes! Here the older kids have gotten a hold of some of my fancy dark chocolate (aka my psych-and-caffeine-meds), and are helping themselves to a piece or two.

I realized that I haven’t seen Holla’s youngest since before Christmas! And she’s now HUUUUGE (and almost 1 years old!)!!

The ‘Big Adventure’ of the day was wrapping the wee-est one up in the wrap and walking up the street with the kids to the ‘other’ playground. (See Buddha shrine up on the hill for reference.)
