Romantic Lunch
Not a whole lot to report from today. I met my local midwife for the last time late this morning. Yes, there was a trace of protein in the urine (1+) and the blood pressure was on the high side, but tomorrow I’m to report to the hospital for monitoring etc., so we let it slide.
Since I had an hour between the midwife and physio, I phoned Finnur and we went downtown and had a ‘romantic lunch’ at Bergsson mathús. It’s yet another one of those healthy-food restaurants that sell lunch for about kr. 1890 and is mostly frequented by women, and the occasional woolen-jumpered male.
As we were passing the parliamentary building on our way back to the car, I snapped a couple of pics of Finnur to prove we’d been there.
After physio, I picked Anna up from her piano lesson, after which she proceeded to storm through all her homework (which is highly unusual). She even had time to play before I shuttled her to a swim practice (yes, her schedule is a wee bit on the packed side these days – we’ll probably be easing off of it in the near future) before making the rounds to pick the boys up.
Finnur made a loveley lamb meat-soup for dinner, the kids were in bed at a reasonable hours, and the old folks even watched a bit of tv this evening. Meanwhile I tortured myself by taking my blood pressure every now and again. It continues to misbehave, so I wonder what the doc will suggest tomorrow…
