Quick Trip to Laugarvatn
[Written 27. September 2012]
On Saturday, 15. September 2012, Finnur took off at dawn with some of his buddies to fly to England to worship their football-gods.
The morning went pretty much as planned, I took Bjarki to his sports-school session before lunch while Anna disappeared to visit a friend. After lunch I took the kids shoe-shopping (last year’s Ecco kids winter boots on sale! And holy cow, Anna’s now a shoe-size 38!), got some groceries and then headed out of the city to visit Finnur’s parents at their summer house at Laugarvatn.
Yes, I was invited to attend a 40th (!!!) birthday party (which by all accounts was crazy fun!) but I decided not to attend at the last minute because I was running seriously low on energy, and I knew I’d need it during the upcoming week, on my trip to Norway(!). So to the bosom of grandparents we went, and had a lovely stay. The kids also seemed to need a break, because Anna conked right out on the short drive there, and I think the ‘nature’ calmed them down a bit. 🙂
