Something Current

Just breaking up the monotony of ‘old news’ by posting today’s events:

0) Made snacks for Anna and got her out the door in time for her daytime-camp.  Finnur and Bjarki headed out soon thereafter, and I went back to being horizontal.

1) I biked downtown to have lunch with a friend at Bergsson Mathús. Good food, reminded me of the stuff they have at Lifandi Markaður. Decided to bring the heart rate monitor along and biked slooooowly up the hills so that I wouldn’t break the bank. Took me 40 minutes one way.

2) Visited the main city library for a bit.

3) Biked back home, but stopped by Finnur’s workplace and had some hot chocolate because it had started raining outside.

4) Came home for a shower and a bit of R&R.

5) When Anna arrived home we attacked her school-shopping-list: found what we already had, and then headed out to buy the rest.  The store was packed!

6) Was not pleased with the selection of school bags in three stores, so didn’t buy one.  Got everything else though.  Will probably have to capitulate and get the one Anna was most excited about, even though I have design-misgivings about it.

7) Came home to yet another lovely dinner a la Finnur.  Cleaned the kitchen and then spent a good long while with Anna labeling all her new stuff.

8) Am currently located on the sofa, with the laptop in my lap.  Thus concludes the day!
