Snapshots
It’s getting late so this will be short. Went swimming again, this time in the still-empty 50 m indoor pool at Laugardalslaug. Bought fabric for curtains and ordered two small pli-sol curtains (I hope they turn out ok?!). Had lunch:

Wandered around some furniture stores, discovered that Ilva is a slightly more upscale version of Ikea.

Hmmm… If only this piece would have been slightly skinnier, it might have worked under the TV. So close, yet so far away!

Used the opportunity to visit the new Bauhaus store for the first time. It’s pretty massive. The house stood mostly unused to a looooong time after the crash, but they went ahead and opened the actual store this spring.
We enjoyed a late-afternoon visit with uncle Arnar and Magnea, and their newly-minted 11 year old and Finding Nemo-loving 3 year old. Also stopped by at Gudrun’s and Snorri’s to relieve them of some soil from their compost heap. We should probably get ourselves one of those… When back home the kids marveled at:

We have a hot-tub shell! The carpenter has promised to start work on installing the hot-tub tomorrow morning. Here’s hoping it all goes well!
