Today I learnt that…
… it takes more than one week to recover from spraining a calf muscle. Yes, I somehow managed to sprain a calf muscle during my weekly gym-session last week (Yes, I know. ‘Weekly’ isn’t exactly fabulous, but it’s more than zero gym, and it keeps my hands operational. Also I’ve been known to swim a few laps while Anna goes to gymnastics).
So anyway, today I showed up, all rearing to go, made it two warm-up laps around the gymnasium, before the sprain jumped up and said “HI, DID YOU MISS ME?!?”. I still went ahead and did what I could (it’s base training, you go one circle around the gymnasium, and do lots of different stuff) but I’ll try to take care and not to do any ‘running’, just brisk walking.
Maaan, I’m getting old! 🙁
