Driving to Ólafsvík
We drove north from Reykjavík shortly after noon on a Wednesday towards Ólafsvík on the Snæfellsnes-peninsula. Snæfellsnes is the home of Snæfellsjökull, the glacier of the snowy-mount-peninsula, a.k.a. the entrance to the center of the Earth. Trailing us were Adda and Halli hauling a tent-trailer.

Snæfellsjökull seems like a popular travel-destination if the tracks in the snow are any indication.

Adda lounges in the grass with Bjarki while the other adults carry stuff in to the house/set up the tent-house.

Once we settled the girls took the kids to a nearby playground, while the boys made manly BBQed dinner. Later that evening we left Finnur and Bjarki to fall asleep and walked down towards the sea.
