By the sea-shore
Anna got a nasty stomach bug on Thursday (Bjarki had gotten it on Monday). We therefore didn’t do much for a couple of days but on the Saturday we went to my mom’s (who’d already gotten it).

While we were there, my brother Pétur (i.e. Peter) was heading to band-practice so I decided to drive him and take the kids to explore the sea-side (aka waiting out the World Cup).

Our destination was a rather large building by the sea-shore. A part of it is called 'Hellirinn' ('The Cave') where bands can rent out a practice space.

Anna went inside with Pétur, while Bjarki and I followed. Here Anna is coming out again complaining that there was loud music being played...

Pétur plugging in his base. We listened to his band play for a few minutes (through the closed door because it was LOUD!!) before heading out...

We walked past a few boats... and Bjarki immediately started asking to go to them. I said no because I was looking for a store that sells tents - which used to be close by.

As it turned out, the store had moved, so we crossed the road and started heading back towards the boats.

The kids spent a shocking amount of time hanging out by this fence that surrounded the boats. They kept busy putting stones through the fence, and moving stones about and... just played with stones!

Bjarki found some concrete boxes a little further along, sat down in one, and contemplated his existence.
