Format philosophizing

I’m guessing you’ve noticed that we’ve started blogging in English.  Will this be a permanent feature?  Perhaps!  It seems only fair since we used to blog in Icelandic when we lived far away from Iceland and were blogging for our friends and family there.  Now we’re mooooving so it feels like we’re blogging for our friends that we’re leaving behind in California (sniffles).  Hence, this blog might permanently switch, but I’m not making any promises.

Secondly, with our move to a new blog-system, we’ve stopped doing one “text-blog” (with the occasional small photo) and one “photo-blog” (with chunks of decent sized photos).  Now we’re doing it all in one spot, but we’ve started using a “read more” link so that the “photo-blog-esque” entries don’t eat up the entire front page of the blog.  For now I’ll be using a “read more” link after the first photo of each blog entry that has multiple photos.  (One aside: Are the photos big enough?  Too big?  Just right?…)

As always, the blog is a work in progress, so please speak up if you have ideas on how to make things better! 🙂
