Christmas bombed away

Tonight’s the end of Christmas and to mark the occasion, a huge bonfire was lit at the bottom of our hill and then the Search & Rescue squad in Mosfellsbaer (the town where Finnur’s parents live) hosted a fabulous fireworks show for the 2000-strong crowd. It was spectacular! 🙂

But as a sidethought to the fireworks going off, I couldn’t help but wonder how scary the thumps as the “tivoli-bombs” shoot off must be to people in/from war-torn areas. For us it’s only the foreboding of very pretty fireworks.
