Bad Timing
I took Anna to meet up with four old schoolfriends and their children this afternoon. It was great seeing them all, one girl I hadn’t seen in about 5 years and I’d never seen her 3 year old daughter! The newest addition I hadn’t seen at all, and the other two had grown a LOT since I saw them last. Needless to say it was a very action packed visit, we tried talking above their yammering and were somewhat successful. It will be even nicer when we can just direct them straight to the playroom instead of running after them everywhere… 🙂
But the “Bad Timing” part came afterwards as we went to visit my uncle Arnar. As we were sitting down to eat dinner (after having toured their fabulous new house – oooh how I’d like a place to call my own), their little boy Eyþór went extremely pale and sure enough, a few minutes later he threw up! Thankfully it all went on the floor but it was a close call! We left soon thereafter, and can only hope that this is the same thing that both Anna and Finnur got in November…
The evening was therefore spent wrapping Christmas presents, and I think I managed to get a “rubbing sore” on my forearm by continually sliding it across my jeans to wrap stuff up… Silly me! 🙂
