Visiting
Today was spent visiting various people that I haven’t seen in ages. First up were Sonja and Clint, that just had their first baby, Kamilla. She was adorable, but sadly suffering from a bad stomach (as I’m told is very common in 2-3 week old babies) and not in the best of moods all the time. But adorable none the less, and a cute addition to the family of 2 adults and 2 birds! 🙂
Next we stopped by my mum’s place to put some pictures online (she’s the only one we can barge in on that has a DSL connection) and then I dropped Finnur off so he could meet an old friend, while I went to visit my girl-friends, Helga and Hjördís. Quite predictably (Helga is 16 weeks pregnant, and Hjördís has Arnar) the conversation revolved around baby-having and baby-making and baby-this and baby-that… 🙂
Time flew by at lightning speed and all of a sudden it was dinner-time! I picked up Finnur (who’d gathered info on all of his old friends, much to my female-feed-me-info happiness) and we went to my uncle Arnar’s place and had a great dinner (the food was fit for a Christmas feast!) and a nice chat with him and his wife Magnea afterwards. Meanwhile, their very cute 2 year old son, Eyþór, played “I will never, ever, ever let go of my parents ever, ever again” which we think is because he’s starting playschool. We concluded it was a “phase”… 🙂
All in all a great day! 🙂
